We custom made 100 plus snowflakes for the Amazon Music Holiday Plays Commercial.

Universal Studios- Ghostbusters Maze Proton Beams

We created the static proton beams for Universal Studios Hollywood Halloween Horror Nights. Made from acrylic, leds, silicone, and fiber optic wire, we were able to shape the beams however were needed and then provided a standalone show control unit to adjust brightness and sequencing.

Frankenstein’s Lab

Created a stylized version of Frankenstein’s lab for a production company on the Universal Studios Hollywood Backlot. We specifically made all of the lab equipment based off the 1930’s Frankenstein Film.  In addition to making the wooden cabinets and tables, custom metal hardware, and sculpted and cast elements, we also implemented a show control system specifically for the lab equipment effects consisting of 140 channels of dmx. Every individual light and gauge sweep were independently controllable and animated. An ambient show runs full time and a 30 second “overload” show is triggered by a large themed knife switch (also fabricated by us) on the wall and is synced to an audio track and the room lighting.


Universal Studios Hollywood – The Walking Dead

The Walking Dead permanent attraction at Universal Studios Hollywood. We were responsible for the set dressing and props for the entie attraction. Thousands of items, procured, aged/distressed and installed. We additionally created the prop weapons various performers use throughout the attraction, including a shotgun containing a mini smoke generator and led in the barrel wirelessly tied into the show control system to simulate a report from firing.

Strange Angel Model

Created a 5′ x 7′ architectural model of the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) for the CBS show: Strange Angel
Made from .0625″ and .125″ baltic birch and card stock.

Samsung Developer Conference- Delusion: Lies Within

Scenic construction and set dressing for a booth at the 2019 Samsung Developer Conference.
Design was based on multiple scenes from the VR film Delusion: Lies Within. Built in our shop, the set was designed to breakdown, be transported and then set back up in a few hours on-site.

Delusion-Blue Blade

Contracted for scenic construction, special effects, and specialty props for Delusion: The Blue Blade.
We built out a +10,000sq/ft theater space in West LA into multiple scenes/locations, including a large cave system made from carved foam and an Aztec Temple.
The space had numerous pneumatic and electronic effects and custom props with integrated electronics.

The Tick Takeover Experience – SDCC17

Flipped car display for The Tick Takeover Experience At San Diego Comic-Con 2017. Started with a blemish-free used car, changed the color to red, removed all fluids, added a roll-bar, flipped and anchored to a 3/4″ steel plate, dented and aged to the client’s specifications, and made safe by removing sharp edges and hazards for guests. Provided engineering drawings and LA city welding certifications per request by the city. Wired and programmed the headlights, turn signals and brake lights to be animated, and plumbed the car for fog/smoke effects.

Saw – Water Trap

Replication of the Water Trap from Saw franchise for Universal Studios Hollywood Halloween Horror Nights. Welded steel frame, painted and aged. Three-sided acrylic tank allows for performer to put their head inside yet not contact water. The air pump is plumbed into tank to provide bubbles and water movement.

Autry Museum- PLAY

Designed and constructed an interactive exhibit for the PLAY! exhibition at the Autry Museum of the American West in 2017. The wall init is constructed of wood and Lexan, and aged to look like reclaimed wood. A crank made from a tricycle wheel can be turned by guests which both drives a belt that spins various vintage toys and appears to be spinning a vintage fan on top of the wall unit. The fan then appears to be blowing various sized kites suspended from an overhead rig comprised of 12 bicycle wheels acting as pulleys in a belt system. In reality the crank has an encoder on it being fed into a PLC-based control system. The fan and overhead kite system are driven by stepper motors which we can set specific ramp up and down times with a max speed limit for the over achieving child.

We also designed and constructed some themed switches and inputs for other areas of the exhibit. An erector set themed crank which enabled nearby motorized vintage erector sets to move when rotated. We also made an over-sized back-lit vintage tv channel knob which changed the channels on a nearby wall of TV’s. It was machined from aluminum and hard anodized.
